Opposition party leader and Jamaat-e-Islami amir, Dr Shafiqur Rahman, has warned that any deterioration in Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC could have serious implications for the country’s economy and banking sector, urging the government to ensure protection of depositors’ interests and the bank’s stability.
